New Virtual Tour of Luxury Resort Hotel Rangá in South Iceland
HELLA, ICELAND (June 07, 2016) – Travelers considering a luxury getaway to Iceland can now take a virtual tour of 4-star Hotel Rangá, the first hotel in Iceland to offer Google Maps Street View. The tour which launched today was created using over 1,000 images photographed on location at the country’s top resort in May. With just a few clicks guests can interactively explore three artist-inspired guestrooms, two Around the World themed suites, the Royal Bridal Suite, plus deluxe amenities like a Stargazing Observatory with retractable roof.
“We’re delighted to be the first hotel in Iceland to offer street-style viewing on Google Maps,” says Fridrik Pálsson, hotelier of Hotel Rangá. “We believe it will enhance the guest experience by providing a sneak preview of the hotel’s unique atmosphere and fwww.facebook.com/HotelRangaeatures like volcano views from our restaurant, and guestrooms with new artist-inspired frescoes.”
In 2016 Hotel Rangá commissioned local Icelandic artists to use its 20 standard rooms and 24 deluxe rooms as their canvas. The end result is an array of rooms with hand-painted frescoes depicting the epic nature sites surrounding Hotel Rangá in the enviable location of South Iceland. One room on the virtual tour features a fresco painted with a starry night sky as seen from the Stargazing Observatory, which opens for guests on clear evenings and features Iceland most advanced digital telescopes.
Travelers wishing to do some stargazing of their own can take advantage of Hotel Rangá’s new Stargazing and Northern Lights package available September 1st from €920 based on double occupancy. The offer includes three nights’ accommodation, daily buffet breakfast, 3-course chef’s choice dinner each night, access to stargazing observatory, access to outdoor thermal hot tubs, Northern Lights wake-up call upon request, free WiFi, free parking and all taxes. Northern Lights Season: mid-August through April. To book email: email@example.com.
