HOTEL HUSAFELL ENTICES NORTHERN LIGHTS TRAVELERS WITH NEW AUTO-AURORA WAKE-UP-CALL SERVICE

Hotel Húsafell helps increase your chances of seeing the Northern Lights with the launch of their new Auto-Aurora Wake-Up-Call system, the first of its kind in Iceland.

Nestled in a secluded valley below Langjokull Glacier in West Iceland, Hotel Húsafell is one of the best spots in the world to view the Northern Lights, with an average of three sightings per week in winter. The newly installed Auto-Aurora system lets hotel staff alert guests with the touch of a button if the lights appear during the night.

Tourists come to Iceland from all over the world just to see the Auroras in winter and Hotel Husafell wants their guests to have the best chance possible. The new automated system streamlines the wake-up-call process and removes the element of human error. It’s the perfect cure for Northern Lights FOMO, also a real phenomena in Iceland.

In addition, Hotel Húsafell caters to Northern Lights travelers by training staff to provide app suggestions and helpful tips for photographing the elusive Auroras. The hotel’s in-house restaurant is designed for optimal Aurora Borealis viewing with floor-to-ceiling windows so guests can gaze upon the lights while dining. The on-site geothermal baths open in the evening provide a steamy location to watch the Auroras dance across the night sky.
